North America’s largest economy hotel brand is transforming and modernizing for a new generation of travelers! This isn’t your everyday new shade of beige makeover either—think reimagined guestrooms with soothing color palettes, sleek finishings and bedding, modern amenities and new, hyper local artwork.

To make room for our new look, we’ve taken down thousands of pieces of “not-so-super” art and now, on the heels of our critically-acclaimed, first-ever “hotel art” show in New York City, Super 8® is bringing its eclectic gallery of hotel kitsch to Art Basel in Miami.

Come celebrate the new look and feel of Super 8, Miami style, as we bid a final farewell to more than 50 eclectic pieces of our former art before giving it away for free.

The Art

Super 8 hotels across North America have been undergoing a major transformation, which means it’s time to give our old look-and-feel, including some “not-so-super” hotel art, a proper send off. Join us at Art Basel in Miami for When the Art Comes Down: Works from the Super 8 Collection - Miami Edition.

Come claim our art that once hung on the hallowed walls of Super 8 hotels from Mahwah, N.J. to Tifton, Ga., and leave with a piece of Super 8 history.

Our New Look

The new, redesigned look of Super 8 begins with a reimagined guestroom featuring soothing color palettes, sleek finishings and bedding, as well as modern amenities. The finishing touch: new, hyper local artwork emitting a contemporary, postcard-feel while featuring black and white photography of iconic landmarks and landscapes distinct to each hotel’s locality. Already available at the vast majority of nearly 1,800 Super 8 hotels across the U.S. and Canada, our new look is anticipated to touch every one of our North American hotels by early 2017.

In a whimsical nod to one of the world’s most beloved art icons, Super 8 is also teaming up with Bob Ross Inc., the art company of Florida native Bob Ross, to infuse his signature style into elements of the brand’s latest gallery. From a live demonstration of how to apply Ross’s Wet-on-Wet® technique when recreating “hotel art masterpieces” to renaming the works on display to reflect his soft spoken “happy tree” type commentary, Ross’s presence will be evident throughout the gallery in clever and playful ways.
